Our Mission
Helping those less fortunate than ourselves by supplying food, school uniforms, supplies and tuition. Lifting those we help through education into a position to better help others.
We are a 501c3 registered federal charity and all your donations are tax deductible, but it hasn't always been so.....
Hands Extended was established in 2003 as a simple outreach in San Luis, Mexico. The first year we supplied clothing for children and a few toys. My husband furnished the funds to do this first year. In 2004 we extended our outreach doing Christmas for the same children, but added one family to just help with everyday needs like food and clothing. In 2005 friends and family got involved with funds, toys and whatever they could do to help. In 2006 we grew and made a much larger leap. We did Christmas for the same children and added one more family and more projects for the Oaxaca Indians.
Time has passed and we continue to grow with God bringing us new challenges each year and ways to show His love for us and the people He puts in our path. Our Christmas outreach has changed to education and we now have over 70 children as part of our mission and these children are obtaining educations they could never dream of without the help of those who join us. We continue to pray that all those who are touched by this ministry see God in us and in what we do. We believe an example is worth 1,000's of words and know God will use all we do as long as its done in His name.
If you feel led to invest in the education of a child who would otherwise not get one, get in touch and we will be glad to help you find a child.. You too can change a life.
We continue to grow.... In August 2015 we made another giant step and opened a thrift shop in our local community of the Foothills near Yuma, Az. and now are helping local veterans, homeless & underprivileged families in the Yuma and Foothills area. Its amazing what you can do even as a start up if you have a heart for those who need. Volunteers and donations are always needed at the thrift shop and with the help of the community those are coming in.

We still have no paid staff, but now have the overhead of the thrift shop which is for rent, utilities etc. We are covering expenses and are amazed at how much we are able to reach out to our community here in the Foothills of Arizona.

Keep watch for our next step as we grow at the shop as we have hopes to do even more....

1 Corinthians 10:31 (New International Version)
